PRESS ARTICLE – ALLUVIAL GOLD RECOVERY in Romania

The working principle of the Hydro Gravity gold concentrator is based on the different densities of gold and other heavy metals. In essence, the device uses gravity together with the hydrodynamic properties of water to separate gold from lighter materials (e.g. silica). The gold-bearing material is fed into the concentrator, where it meets a water flow. This flow creates a fluidized bed inside the concentrator, allowing materials to stratify according to their specific gravity. Due to its higher density, gold quickly sinks to the bottom, while lighter materials stay in suspension and are finally discharged as tailings. A key component of the Hydro Gravity gold concentrator is its system of internal spiral riffles, which separate the heavy metals (atomic mass of roughly 100 and above). These riffles are strategically placed to increase separation efficiency by creating a series of low-pressure zones that trap heavy particles (e.g. Au, Pt) while lighter materials pass through to the discharge. This keeps separation conditions optimal and maximizes the recovery of fine/alluvial gold. In short, the Hydro Gravity gold concentrator uses gravity and hydrodynamic principles to separate gold efficiently from other materials, making it an invaluable ECO-FRIENDLY asset.

The Hydro Gravity Gold Concentrator offers the following advantages:

1. High recovery rates: One of the standout features of the Hydro Gravity gold concentrator is its ability to achieve high recovery rates for fine gold particles. Gold losses during concentration are kept to a minimum, and the equipment typically pays for itself in 2–3 months, depending on the gold content of the raw material. See INVESTMENT

2. Compact and portable design: Unlike bulky traditional gold extraction equipment, the Hydro Gravity gold concentrator is compact and portable, which makes it easy to transport and install at sites of any size.

3. Easy to operate: The concentrator is designed with ease of use in mind. Minimal training is required, so even new operators can run it efficiently and achieve optimal results. Simple inverter-based automation; 380 V power supply (220 V available on request).

4. Lower operating costs: The concentrator runs on hydraulic power, which usually means lower energy consumption, so operating costs are significantly lower than with other gold recovery methods.

5. Eco-friendly: Because it uses water as the separation medium, the concentrator needs no harmful chemicals, making it a more environmentally friendly option. Water requirement: about 5–7 tonnes/hour.

6. Versatile application: The concentrator can be used in a wide range of gold recovery settings, from river beds to crushed hard-rock operations.

7. Durable construction: Built from high-quality steel treated with special protective paints, the concentrator is designed for durability and a long service life under harsh operating conditions.

Important: processing yields a GOLD CONCENTRATE whose grade depends on the gold content of the raw feed material.

DISADVANTAGE :

IT DOES NOT PRODUCE pure gold or nuggets ! Instead, the concentrate can be sold DIRECTLY or refined further through specific processes (shaking tables, electrolytic or chemical refining, etc.). This drawback is offset by the industrial quantities of GOLD CONCENTRATE obtained and by the fact that fine/alluvial gold is RETAINED rather than LOST, as happens with traditional processing!

- for details on selling the concentrate and the quantities obtained, see the INVESTMENT

Specifications: min/max capacity – 18–25 TONNES/HOUR (feed fraction <4 mm); water requirement is adjusted to the plant capacity. None of the initial sand/raw material production is lost: after passing through the concentrator it can still be sold. Loss: 1 tonne per 250–300 tonnes processed

Outer diameter: 236 cm

Adjustable height: 160–200 cm

Weight: 1020 kg

Concentration ratio: 1:250 - 1:300 = 300 tonnes of raw material yield 1 tonne of concentrate
